What? – It is a platform for young people, as well as parents, teachers, educationists etc., to talk about the need for sexuality education and explore positive approaches to implementing it in schools. The campaign also looks at getting young people’s feedback on the current draft of the AEP curriculum.
Why? – There’s a lack of space where young people from across the nation can express their need for sexuality education and dialogue with parents, teachers etc. on the current draft of AEP curriculum.
Where? – The campaign is running, nationwide, online through the website, facebook, twitter & other social networking media as well as on-ground through strategic events & partnerships with organizations working with young people who may or may not have internet access.
When? – The campaign will run from November 2010 – January 2011
Who? – The campaign is your space to speak up! Without your voice this campaign won’t work. Here’s how you can join:
- Fill out this quick survey on whether you need CSE and if yes, how would you want it to be taught?
- Leave a comment on our post about ‘Why Comprehensive Sexuality Education?’
- Spread the word! Call, text, email, blog or tweet about the campaign! Ask your friends to visit the website and fill out the survey J
If you are an organization that works with young people or on any of the issues related to CSE, we need your support in reaching out to as many young people, parents, teachers etc. as possible! Please contact our colleague Himakshi at:
